Betla national park is nestled aesthetically in the lap of Deccan Plateau including 1,026 sq km of Palamau Tiger Reserve, and is one of the paramount tourist attractions in Jharkhand. An additional 226 sq km was added to the park in 1989 and again, an area of 63 sq km of the Mahuadar wolf sanctuary was later added to national park--- to make it most adventurous, exciting, and entertaining.
The park boasts of rich and rare wildlife enveloped in thick verdant foliage. Betla village is the only entry point to the giant park. The park is replete with wild animals including tigers, panthers, elephant, gaur, cheetal, sloth bear, mouse deer, pangolin, four horned antelope, sambar, civet and wolf. The sanctuary also has few waterfalls and hot springs. One can also visit 468 –ft high Lodh Falls situated 95 km south of the national park in Mahuadar and ruins of the Chero Kings’ Fort situated near the Betla at 400 ft.

By Air:The nearest airport is the Ranchi airport, which is well connected by daily flights to all Indian Metros. Most resorts offer pick-ups facilities.By Rail: The closest railhead is at Daltonganj from where one can easily get either taxi or bus.
By Road: NH75 from Ranchi via Kuru and Latehar.
