Namdapha National Parkin Arunachal Pradesh :
Spread over an area of 1,985 sq km, in the rugged terrain, Namdapha National Park in Arunachal Pradesh is largest national park of the northeast region, and one of the largest wildlife conservation areas In India. Perhaps no other national park in the whole world has this much altitudinal variation as the Namdapha national park commands, varying from 200m to 4,500m in the snow-capped mountains. This peculiar variation has given way to the growth of diverse flora and fauna. The lush green undergrowths are thick with the crisscross of canes, bamboos, wild bananas and variety of vegetations. The splendor of the wet tropical rain forests provides breeding ground for various animals and birds, which are rare, notable and worth seeing.For the genuinely dedicated wilderness and wildlife fan, a visit to the Namdapha Natioanal Park is just indispensable. The unique feature of the park is that it is the only National Park in the world in which four of the great felines are found viz., the tiger, the leopard, the snow leopard and the clouded leopard. This is also an ideal place for trekking and hiking.

Railhead -: The nearest rail station is situated at Tinsukia in Assam.
Road Transport : From Tinusukia or Dibugarh, the journey to Miao, headquarters of the National Park and the Tiger Reserve, has to be made by road, over a distance of 150-km. Thereafter, a forest road stretching over about 28-km gives access to the protected area up to a place called Deban, which has a lovely forest rest house and some other accommodations for the field staff. Beyond this area there is no road as such and all movements inside the reserve has to be made on foot through the scenic dense forests and steep hill ranges with streams and rivers flowing in between. Miao can also be reached by Jeep/Gypsy from Margherita (Assam) and Pasighat.
